Hotel Castiglioncello

Castiglioncello is part of the municipality of Rosignano Marittimo in the province of Livorno. It was a fishing village on the edge of the empire of which it retains cineraria Etruscan alabaster, dating from the second century BC C. By the mid nineteenth century was a popular seaside resort Castiglioncello and was the center of the current development of pictorial Macchiaioli, whose representatives were just the usual summer vacation in Castiglioncello, where he lived, the art critic and patron of Diego Martelli. Among the most interesting places to visit, beyond the sea and the richness of Mediterranean vegetation, Castello Pasquini, whose architecture recalls the Medici palaces, built between 1889 and 1891 and the National Archaeological Museum, reopened in 2001 after many years.
